"Prescribing clarity in a world of medical noise"
Our Story
We're two sisters with backgrounds in healthcare who got tired of seeing patients overwhelmed by confusing medical jargon, contradictory headlines, and one-size-fits-all advice.
SistersRx was born from late-night kitchen conversations about how to make health information actually make sense. We break down complex medical topics into clear, relatable content — like having a conversation with a friend who happens to know medicine.
No fear-mongering. No fads. Just evidence-based clarity delivered with warmth and a little bit of sisterly banter.
Meet the Sisters
Two sisters, two specialties, one shared passion for making medicine make sense.
Dr. Parisa Malekzadeh is a double board-certified surgeon in general surgery and complex surgical oncology. She provides patients with advanced, often minimally invasive, surgical treatments for a wide range of cancers including breast, gastrointestinal, and skin cancers.
Her training is among the most rigorous in the field: she earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine, completed her surgical internship and residencies at Eastern Virginia Medical School, then pursued a research fellowship in tumor immunobiology and immunotherapy at the National Cancer Institute's Surgery Branch, followed by a complex surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
Dr. Malekzadeh's research focuses on innovative cancer treatments including immunotherapy, T cell therapies, and clinical trial design, with publications in leading journals. Her approach to care is grounded in respect, collaboration, and open communication — empowering patients to take an active role in their health.
Dr. Pouran Malekzadeh is a board-certified OB/GYN passionate about women's health across every stage of life — from prenatal care to complex gynecologic conditions.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine (Research Distinction Tract) and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Her undergraduate studies in science were completed summa cum laude at Arizona State University.
Dr. Malekzadeh's clinical research spans gynecologic surgery, cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy management, and labor induction outcomes. She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and is deeply committed to mentorship and community outreach.
